Grand opening!
« on: March 29, 2013, 11:45:45 am »
Surprisingly haven't found this posted anywhere else on AGO so I'm putting it here.

Silenced America LLC. grand opening.   Many of you probably already know Scott Bittner / Amarillo Tactical.

Those of us that choose not to have a facebook apparently aren't worthy of invites or notices about this. So I'm
re-posting the info from F.B. for everyone. Spread the word.

Come join us at our new store here in Amarillo,Texas for our Grand Opening on March 30th 2013!
We are located here at 6461 S. Western Amarillo,Texas 79110
We will be open from 10 am- 4pm.
We will provide free drinks, BEER, and food.
We will have giveaways to include the following:
SWR SPECWAR 5.56 Suppressor
An NFA Gun Trust
Magpul magazines and accessories
A Geissele Trigger
Surefire Swag.
We will have a trust lawyer here to help get you all set up when buying a suppressor.
Bring a friend, bring the family, or your coworkers. Come by and see what we have and whats soon to be coming out.

It's a stand alone newer looking building with a lot of dark tinted glass and red metal work all around. His place faces Western. I'm sure there will be signs or something. Stop by Orr's reloading while your at it too.

Dang, I have plans tomorrow! Guns or Doctor Who?....

What's the deal with the NFA trust thing? I thought I'd read that they were going away, as the ATF were changing the rules to (a) get rid of having to have the CLEO sign off on stuff for individuals and (b) putting a load of onerous requirements on the members of trusts.
A kitten told me to do it.

Never mind, I found what's going on with the trust thing: http://www.thefirearmblog.com/blog/2013/01/10/proposed-nfa-form-changes/

Seems there's still a case to be made for having trusts, even if the proposed changes go through. Course, one of the guys making that case is a lawyer who specialises in NFA trusts, so take that as you will...

Wow! I got to vomit all my questions on to the Silencer Co. and SWR guys. Got some swag and great food too. Well worth the trip and I'll be stopping by often to see what's new. I just wish Scott wasn't so dang busy all the time.

I can't attest to Scott's customer service, but his employees are about as brainless as the one's at Academy.  I'm sorry, but if you don't know what a front sight post is you should just go work at Toot n Totum.  Scott if your not gonna be around very much please hire more competent people.  Just saying.

So was it really about a front sight post?
