If your paying $50+ for a brick of 22, YOUR part of the problem.

Was in academy a month or so ago and while standing in the ammo isle a couple older gentlemen walked up and just asked out loud where the .22 ammo was. I looked up to see if he was serious or making a joke and he was serious. Another guy standing in the isle started telling him about some page on Facebook that he could find some. He told the older gentlemen that there are a few guys who show up at certain stores when they know its coming and buy as much as they can so that they can resell it on Facebook. He made it sound like those guys were doing everyone in town a great service because its still out there. He then said they make a little off of it but only enough to cover gas but they do it a more of a service to the people. It's hard to tell people that they're the problem when they're so convinced they are the solution.

Side note: Did score a couple boxes at gander the other day! Woot!

or on here
Another day in this carnival of souls
Another night settles in as quickly as it goes
The memories are shadows, ink on the page
And I can't seem to find my way home

This doesn’t affect me much directly because a box of .22LR will last me for years around the ranches unless I need to work on sights and I have a few bricks stashed around.  Probably paid less than $10 for some of them.  But, I think the real harm will be that a new generation will not be introduced to shooting and won’t be there to support gun ownership in the future.

Gander advertised to have more than a thousand bricks for Sunday.  Limit two.  Was told there were enough waiting when they opened to clean them out.

I'm surprised we haven't seen them for sale of Face Butt yet for 4 times what they paid yesterday.

I was thinking about going to GM to get some, but then I sat down and let that thought go right out of my mind.

Thought hit me today about how few people and little money, relative to other gun control efforts, along with sheep, it would take to keep Walmart, Academy etc. cleaned out of 22LR.

Conspiracy anyone?

Anyone else suspect that Obama will try to use the invasion of the Ukraine as an excuse to do something that will limit the import of cheap Russian ammo?

Damron’s had Remington buckets yesterday for less than 6¢/round.  Last two went while I was deciding if I needed any.  Academy had CCI target for $7.50/box this week.

One panic coming to an end just in time for another to start?

Gander had a lot of different 22LR in their mid-week flyer with the paper.    Was still some left on the shelf for a while this Sunday afternoon.
