Hoyt (SierraTec) man myself (hense the "hoyt" in AK as my forum name).  I've got a short draw so good bows are hard for me to find and the SierraTec fit me perfect.

I have an old Bear that I bought 15 years ago for $65.

I haven't shot it in years and have only taken one turkey with it.  I just didn't get bit by the archery bug.

I have a PSE that a guy built for me about 15 years ago and I have a Mathews FX that I bought a few years ago because I thought I needed it. I probably shoot the old dinosaur PSE better but the Mathews is alot smaller and easier to set in a tree stand with.

The challenge of bowhunting is what attracted me to it. I can pick off a deer at 350yds with a .308, but getting to 30-50yds from a scaredashell deer in an open crp field? Thats awesome. Or elk hunting in New Mexico, I was less than 50ft away from a huge bull just as it let out a bugle! Thats amazing. Bowhunting truly puts man against beast. A battle of the wits and of pure simple instinct. You actually have to be better in their environment than they are. I hunted 4 years in colorado before I even had a shot on a cow elk. The hunt makes all the difference. And with bowhunting, the hunt is the most exciting part.

You said it. I have sat in a ground blind or tree stand many times and left my gun or bow in the camper and just carried my binocs or camera just to sit and watch.

Had a Hoyt

Went to a BowTech a few years back.  The Hoyt I had was tall, the BowTech fits me well.  Got the most out of my draw with the BowTech.

I have a couple bows, but I would have to say I like my Groves spitfire best. Old fashined laminate recurve, cant beat a classic.

I love the way the recurves look and would like to own one some day.
