Review: Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler
« on: June 28, 2016, 06:50:15 pm »
Just my experience so far with the Frankford Arsenal Rotary Tumbler.

1. 5 lbs stainless steel media (that came with purchase)
2. 2 Teaspoons of Dawn dish soap (blue) [[Going to try Tide Coldwater]]
3. 45 Acp case of 'Lime Shine'

I have been running in batches of 350 for 1.5 hrs. and they are coming out like the pictures attached.

Once you get the clean up process down it goes pretty smooth. Definitely would recommend the hand magnet to pickup and move Stainless steel media and also the media separator bucket & rotary basket.

I rinse once when done then run thru the rotary  basket separator. Put all the brass in a towel and shake it for a bit to get excess water. Then lay it out on a table to dry. The SS media I lay out on a piece of plastic to air dry.

The clean up is easy, just water no dust etc. and the SS Media will last a long time. No need to periodically purchase Walnut or Corn media.
Some people swear by the dry media so really just comes down to preference.

The tumbler is solidly built and I just set it on the floor in the garage and come back to it later.

I would recommend this product. The cleaned brass looks nearly new.

(see pictures).
