Ruger new Vaquero 45 acp
« on: December 23, 2017, 07:18:37 pm »
Saw a post about someone else with a 45 acp wheelgun that doesn't use moon-clips. I picked this up about a year ago, and absolutely love it. Trigger breaks clean and crisp. It feels good in the hand. Sights feel natural. If you can get your hands on one I would suggest it.

Great looking revolver - I love the grips. These are great little revolvers, I have a Birds Head Shopkeeper that I would not part with. Add a Super Blackhawk hammer and they are perfect... The only issue I have with Ruger SA's chambered in 45 ACP is the cylinder throats - they are very tight and not true for every tube. It really affects those that shoot reloaded ammo. Most owners will ream the cylinder and it will increase the accuracy tremendously... I had a 45 LC/45 ACP convertible Blackhawk that I reamed the 45 ACP cylinder and it made a night and day difference...
