youth hunt
« on: October 30, 2009, 07:59:48 pm »
This weekend is the first youth hunt. You cant hunt with a gun yet but your kiddo can. Take a kid hunting when you can. I think it is the best way be a good embassitor of the sport. If not a child take someone you like and think would be responsable hunter and gun owner. you will be glad you did. I can say first hand it is vary rewarding to introduce someone to hunting and watch as there enthusiasm grows for their guns and wanting to have a good time with them.In the end you can't take that away!

I have a theory that  the Bambi loving, tree hugging, liberals in Austin do this crap to discourage people from taking kids hunting. But nothing to back it up. Probable that it is just bad timing but something just like this happen last year, though I can't remember what it was.

Thing is too its going to be cold in the morn. trick or treat sat night at the school and grand parents house. Sunday morning cold and school Monday. Who want to try to find a deer Sunday night and then get home late. But we got to try. Can't kill one sitting on the couch.

Yeah at least after time change it gets dark a little earlier and you can hunt Sunday evening without getting home too late.
