Childrens Gun Clubs
« on: August 21, 2011, 12:54:09 pm »
Are there any clubs for children that shoot? 4-H I know a little about some shotgun things.
But my son is more interested in pistol and rifle.

Thanks in advance.

Hutchinson County has a 4-H shooting club.  878-4026.  I'm pretty sure Randall County has one too, but I don't know their number.  Should be in the book under county agent.

Member ship is not required. Just go to the Amarillo rifle and pistol club's  web site. and click on events, then jr. program. There will be a link for Gary Author. He has spent 1/2  the saturdays of his life helping kids

Potter and Randall County have both rifle and shotgun classes, no pistol that I am aware of.  Both county's have great instructors and great parent support.
Amarillo Rifle and Pistol Club has a smallbore program (that is great I must ad) registration for that class is Saturday 9-17-11 from 9-11 at the range.  They provide guns and ammo for about $20 for the entire 6 weeks.  Gary does a GREAT job with the kids.    Check the website for more info: amarillorpc.com
