First couple of goodies made with DIY solar ovens.
« on: August 07, 2012, 10:58:57 am »
We'll be getting a Global Sun, but in the meantime, we whipped up a couple of home made ovens.  When we tested them, we got one up to 320F, and the other to 350F.

Tried some bran muffins in one.

They came out perfect.  Nice and moist.

Did brownies next.

They were awesome.

Next, I think we are going to try a roast.

I ran out of silverware as I had not done dishes.  (The paper plate should suffice as proof).  230 gr hollowpoint butterknife.  It seemed like a good idea at the time.  In hindsight, maybe it wasn't such a good idea.
