Free offer.....
« on: August 14, 2012, 06:07:03 pm »
Hey all. I know many like to be prepared for emergency and accident situations, but some things aren't readily available unless you buy a big kit, or medical pack.
I got way too many suture packs. What I have are "Nurolon" suture packetts. They are completely sealed in two seperate packages, one inside the other. For some reason, they have an expiration date on them. Not sure why, wife says (she works at the hospital) it's mainly so they can sell more. These have an x-date of 7-12 on them. They have the needle and 18" of suture thread inside.
If you'ld like to have some of these, pm me, and I'll send you my mailing address. Send me a stamped, self addressed envelope, and I'll put 4 in and send it back to you.
I have these in all my medical, and first aid kits. They are in flat little packages about 2" wide and 4" long.

wish I had seen this sooner; those would make a nice addition to our first aid supplies.

I read somewhere that you could use plain dental floss for sutures; don't know if it's true or not but it sounds plausible.  (I am not voluteering to prove it wrong tho!)  lol
Another day in this carnival of souls
Another night settles in as quickly as it goes
The memories are shadows, ink on the page
And I can't seem to find my way home

Thanks again for helping all these people out.  First Aid supplies for the really bad stuff is so hard to come by.
Can't even go to the store and find something as simple as a triangular bandage.

If you have more of the suture packs I could use some. All that were in my Corpsman kit left over from the old days were used on bird dogs in days gone by.
I still have the kit but sutures and scaple blades gone.

Militias, when properly formed, are in fact the people themselves and include all men capable of bearing arms. [...] To preserve liberty it is essential that the whole body of the people always possess arms and be taught alike, especially when young, how to use them.--Senator Richard Henry Lee, 1788

PM sent.

I think that'll be the last of them. Until next time.
Thanks all.
